LOCAL MUSEUM CURATOR SPEAKS AT CHESAPEAKE GATEWAY’S ANNUAL PARTNER MEETING

National Park Service (NPS) Chesapeake Gateways hosted its annual Partner meeting February 13, 2025, in Cambridge, MD. The annual Partner meeting is the keystone technical
assistance activity of the office to provide in-person assistance to Chesapeake Gateways
Members Network. The technical assistance meeting is limited by invitation and included 80-100 public and private sector participants.
This year featured four tracks including Storytelling for Impact, Community-Centered
Conservation, Enduring Organizations, and Emerging Tourism Opportunities.
Gerald Boyd, Curator of the Samuel D. Outlaw Blacksmith Memorial Museum, presented an
afternoon session on Collaborative Conservation for Preserving Vital Communities.
